Garden Therapy Club

Come learn with us while enjoying our field of vegetables and flowers.

Volunteering at Rural Roots provides many opportunities:

  • to get outside in a beautiful place and to move your body

  • to learn about growing vegetables and flowers.  (This is our favourite things to talk about, so bring your questions!)

  • a sense of accomplishment

  • we will send you home with the freshest vegetables, herbs and flowers as a thank you.

Volunteer Opportunities

Our Cut Flower Field brings us such joy, and it has been one of my dreams to be able to share some of that joy with people living in our local Long Term Care centres, hospices and shut ins.  Our issue at Rural Roots is the time to cut, assemble and deliver the flowers.  As a small team, we simply find the days flying by.  So for this upcoming season, we would like to trial a new idea:  Having volunteer groups come to cut and assemble flowers to take to a local LTC centre, hospice, or other deserving place of their choosing.
